I love this saying and with the Memorial Day weekend upon us I think about all the brave men and women who make the choice to enter the military to serve our country. This, in my mind, is a huge decision spreading far beyond self. I am thankful and deeply grateful for all of you who committed yourselves to our freedom and sadly lost yours while protecting ours. You are heroes deserving of more than just a day of honor but a multitude of thank yous, handshakes and warm embraces from those you protected. Hopefully you received much of this praise prior to becoming a Memorial Day honoree. I thank you all for taking that bold first step.
