So, for my birthday a very good friend gave me the gift of words and illustrations, a precious book I am grateful to now have in my collection. I barely have book shelves in this house so I lovingly create ‘collections’ tucked and stacked here and there throughout my home. This hard cover book is ageless and timeless so anyone at anytime might find joy within it’s un-numbered pages. It is whimsically simplistic in it’s delivery yet thorough in it’s themes: nice matters, respect others, friendships are essential and promote self worth. And, an extra treat, each page and the thoughts written there stand alone so I’m using this as a gift a day right now. It will be with me forever.

The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by author illustrator Charlie Mackesy. Thank you Beth for sharing this book with me. I saw our friendship in these pages and you’ve made me feel special on more than one occasion. And to Charlie Mackesy, thank you for making life simple once more. ♥
How wonderful. I’m pretty sure I have shared some of his work on Facebook. His style is unique and his content necessary.
