today has been a jumbled day
i started chores i could not finish
running errands and forgetting why.

other souls hovering close
interfering in my space
adding time to time i don't have.

and now i'm grumpy, let me be
i'll hobble through this throw-away day
tomorrow i'll begin my week again.
