a late summer dance atop bursting sunflowers butterfly garden
Since capturing this video a few weeks ago, my gorgeous Mexican Sunflowers have been downed by some hungry deer. The remaining blooms are now safely inside for me to enjoy until they decide they're done. I hope your gardens still have some blooms to carry you into fall.

The flowers are beautiful. Sorry about the deer. I’ve never lived anywhere where there are deer, so I’m not really aware of how much damage they can do.

Pretty creatures but hungry habits can mow down blooms and buds overnight. No deer for you, really? How lucky!

I have a little envy when I see the pictures people get, but I guess that’s a good way to see them.

I grow mexican sunflowers from seed each year, but this year I put them at the back because of their height, and they never grew. I love them, and the butterflies and bees flock to them. Thanks for sharing yours.
