I recently took a pokey little drive in and around Charlottesville in search of something new to catch my eye, something with a previous life elsewhere that now was asking me for a new home. No, not an animal, but a piece of art, or a lamp, or a chest in need of repurposed life. While visiting my various antiquing haunts, I decided to stop and snap this local post office door, one I’ve seen many times but never took the time to properly admire. This time I noticed there are cows in the side yard. Such a nice place to drop off and pick up communications.

Thank you for dropping in today and remember to visit Dan of No Facilities and his Thursday Doors challenge to explore the worlds of other doormanics around the globe. Until next time....🚪

A nice building that looks fairly remote.

It is. And it isn’t, as there are a few buildings and homes nearby. But compared to the other post offices I use, this location is remote.

What a lovely spot. It looks like a well-kept post office or just recently had a coat of white paint. Nice!

Yep, I even watched a man drive up, put mail in the box, and drive off.
