visiting daily
our home, their nest
chemistry of love.
Inspired by Susan and Gerry's Wednesday prompt, Chemistry. This pair were roosting in our open garage when our home was under construction five years ago. Our builders gently removed the nest before closing in the space. Once moved in, we found them tucked under our deck, a new nesting spot. They still are here and each spring they share new babies with us. It is now March and we've not seen them on the nest but they're nearby, peeking in on us.

That’s beautiful Denise. We have a couple of house wrens (I think) that make their home here. It’s always good to see them return.

Wrens are chirpy little house guests! And cute.

The mom sits on top of the birdhouse most of the day. We named her Snoopy.

Birds return to those places where they feel loved and can raise their young safely.

Ah, how lovely! I can almost hear their soft cooing. We had a pair that nested in one of my hanging pots at our old house. This reminded me of them. Thanks for the memories. I hope your pair show up again this Spring.

They’re here, just not on their nest that I’ve seen. Perhaps when we return on another month.
