Today I’m sharing more doors I collected on my recent Pittsburgh visit. Thank you Dan for your weekly THURSDAY DOORS photo challenge. I’ve participated for many years and still I look forward to visiting the other door lovers’ contributions from their travels, neighborhood walks, and car rides. Who knows why each of us is a door enthusiast. I am attracted to old doors that have welcomed countless visitors over the centuries. I am enamored with red doors and always stop to admire. I am intrigued by abandoned doors and their buildings and wonder how they came to be. Doors are the entry to our homes where we love, cry, entertain, and grow our families. Doors stand open or closed, hinged or sliding, wood or metal. A myriad of door examples can be found here on a weekly basis. I hope you will take time to visit the many doornatics around the globe who gather with Dan.

This once upon a time door was in a top floor bedroom in the airbnb where we stayed. The door is no longer functional yet you can see how it was reconfigured to a shelf and niche feature. Seems like an odd transformation but it worked in this space.
Thank you for reading me today. Until next time…🚪
Intriguing collection! I like what you wrote as well. Nicely put.

The white door with the ladder calls to me. I see something similar to it on an old school building, turned art center, around here.

I wonder what their true function was?

I assume those ladders helped when delivery trucks arrived? Seems like heavy work.

I too enjoy the well-worn door and ponder at its stories. Great photos. The reworked door at the air b and B is intriguing! Thank you for a lovely share,.

I admit I spent a few minutes on those reconfigured doors to see if they opened in some way. A bit creepy I think.
