I am by no stretch of the imagination a farmer or gardener. However, I do love what my garden spaces create each year, sometimes a new flower brought in by a passing bird, or this pumpkin patch that appears now and again from my gourds the fall before. This year I’ve counted 21 miniature pumpkins that now are in need of harvesting. The critters of the night have discovered this bounty and before they devour the crop, I will clip the pumpkins and share with family and friends.
What is growing in your garden today?

We have pumpkin plants that were planted by the squirrels who bury the pumpkin seeds they steal from the birdseed. We let them grow (water them during dry periods) and then cut the pumpkins in half for the critters to eat. Natural gardens are amazing.

OMG, tarantulas hiding out in your garden? I would drop on the spot if I encountered one. I do, however, need to bang around a bit here to alert the snakes. I don’t care for them either!

I love it — cute little baby pumpkins! My garden only grows weeds and ants… The terantulas are falling down on their job of eating the ants. I don’t think there are many of them this year. It’s hard to tell, because the terantulas usually stay unseen in their underground homes. Hugs.
