I live with the one I admire.
His glass is ALWAYS full, never half. This is true for most of the 33 years I’ve known him. There was a bump in the road about 17 years ago when our lives changed forever. Cancer walked in and rewrote our story.
My husband, in the face of two different cancer visits, maintained his perseverance, his dignity and his hope carrying me with him. Yesterday, April 28th, was his birthday. When he turned 50 we celebrated his ‘birth’ and ‘post cancer’ years. I don’t necessarily write it out but I do quietly celebrate every healthy ‘post’ year each April.
Happy 57 plus 12 Sweet William! I admire you.
