I’ve been MIA on WordPress and Dan’s Thursday Doors as I have been travelling quite a bit this summer. I am happy to turn it down a tad allowing for me to focus on doors, poetry, and stillness. I’m still organizing my Newport, RI doors so this week I want to share a few rugged doors I pass when driving to Ivy, Virginia. I’m sure they’ve had many people cross their thresholds in the day.

A beautiful red, stand alone shack advertising what we need more of.

Two doors for Clayton & Son.
Wishing you all a lovely Thursday and many new doors to discover. Thank you Dan for giving us the space to share our doormania. Until next time…

Welcome back. I hope you had a wonderful time traveling.
I hope that top door at Clayton & Son is marked on the inside. That’s a big step.

I wonder what that door even went to? Assume some sort of farming access? I’ll need to do some investigating…

I love the red, white, and weathered theme here too. They’re lovely finds!

I had to pull off the main road to capture both of these, they catch my eye when I pass them each time I travel this route. Luckily I was able to get these photos during a slow traffic time. Thanks for your comments.
