This time-worn barn sits on the Barbour-Fitzhugh Cottage property, home of Barboursville Vineyard. This site is historic and part of the Monticello American Viticultural Area (AVA). If you have time, read a bit more about the Monticello AVA and Barboursville history. On this excursion, I set out to walk the Barboursville Estate ruins and will share my photos in a future post. For today, I offer this slightly sloping barn and it's three doors. Compare the similarities with this much larger barn or icehouse I shared last month that also is located on a vineyard property.
Welcome back to Dan, our weekly host to Thursday Doors. Please visit him here to see what other doorlovers around the globe chose to share today. Until next time...🚪

I love sad old barns, Denise. I always look at them and wonder how they’ve served their purpose over time.

Agreed, I’m disappointed when I cannot get the backstory.
