I offer up a colorful door sent to me last month by my sister, who was vacationing in her beloved Key West, Florida. Years ago, I did meet this building in person but I could not find any such pictures in my cache. If you don’t know already, this is the famous Shrimp Boat Sound, an old shrimp cold storage building turned recording studio in 1986 by the legendary Jimmy Buffett. Visit their site here to read about the various talents in addition to Buffett who recorded in this space over the years. Like many of you around the globe, I raised a glass when Jimmy passed away in September of 2023. Because its always five o’clock somewhere, it’s never too late to salute this talented troubadour.
I wish to give a loving shoutout to our Thursday Door contributors and readers effected by the devastations of Helene. What a whopper and far reaching storm she was, leaving great destruction in her wake. May peace and security be restored to you quickly. Until next time…🚪

I support your message too. That door, if it rotted would remain intact with all those stickers, like a strangling fig.

It would be a gooey mess…OR, the door would remain intact because of those many stickers!

Isn’t that cool! Never been to Key West, but it does look interesting.
