I took this photo while in the quaint town of Asheville, North Carolina several years ago. Today, Asheville is sadly still recovering from the devastating effects of hurricane Helene.

It is sad to hear about Asheville and what they have been through and what will happen now. I wonder if those stairs are still there. They look well worn. Great capture

I wondered if those stairs remain. Ironically, I was to travel to Asheville in a couple of weeks. I was looking forward to seeing this lovely, artsy town. So sad.

I’m not sure how this particular neighborhood did, but I do know that our nearby hotel where we stayed did ok.

Thank you , Ally. I took many similar photos like this, looking up, as we were in a hilly Asheville neighborhood. Nothing like a craggy, stone staircase at this time of year!
