Thursday Old Doors #thursdaydoors

Over the past week a few doors spoke to me.

This door enters into the Mill Room section of Snow’s Feed Store Antiques located in Greene, Virginia. As the name suggests, this building houses various antique booths but years ago it was a mill. Behind this door you can see some of the original mill equipment and momentos from when it was operational. And yes, I did go inside.

This blue door barely remains standing in the delapidating barn structure that sits alongside Southern Grace, a landscape and home accessories store in Madison, Virginia. This is the only time when the door is visible because when the trees are in full regalia, the barn is not even visible. I was excited to finally see clearly this structure that has evaded me in the past!

If you’d like to visit other door offerings from around the globe, and to learn about the upcoming Thursday Doors Writing Challenge, please hop over to Dan’s Thursday Doors Challenge for a weekly gathering of door enthusiasts and their findings. Thank you Dan for being our enthusiastic cheerleader over the years! (Miss you, Norm!!!) Until next time…🚪

  1. I love this time of year. The trees look alive, but you can still see what lies beyond them. Great photos. I’d love to tour the mill, but going into an antique store is dangerous for me.
