amongst the leaves treasures lie visible only to the curious eye. cold weather snap brings crisp and brown yet lush and green in the way, way down. tender mosses grow velvet parks adhering to fallen, decaying barks. creepy crawlies have gone to sleep snuggled low resting deep. acorn hats are scattered where they lost the nuts that held them there. i see your footsteps and tread with care while walking the woods on paths we share. i'll cover you up until next i roam amongst the leaves your hidden home.
