How Lovely Grows This Tree #TDWC #ThursdayDoors

On city streets I dwell
A transplant long before you
My space cannot contain me
Unlike the studio you call home.

The sun and fresher air
Call, I stretch my twiggy arms
To where I loom above you
And your fast-paced neighbors.

I wonder, 'Do you see me?'
When you heeltoeclickityclack past
Doubtful.
Your phone is all you see.

One day I just may bend
Accidentally clutching your clutch
Opening a door for you to see
Just how lovely grows this tree.

    • Thank you, Dan. Isn’t it amazing what words come forth when inspired by art or nature? I wish for more time to think, observe, record while in life’s ‘laboratories’.
