On this fourth day following Easter, I still am snacking on tiny jelly beans. They are my downfall and the only thing missing are the black ones…my favorite! I do have a remedy for this. Check out these pretty black doors from my recent visit to Farmville, Virginia, home of the High Bridge Trail State Park. Ten years ago I biked this trail with my girlfriends and briefly wrote about it here.

I hope you enjoy these brick surrounded black doors just as much as those black jelly beans! Thank you Dan for hosting our Thursday Doors contributions each week. Until next time…🚪

I love the stately appearance of a black door. They’re even better in a brick entrance. Great photos!

I love those speckled urns on the landing with the brick. Lovely contrast, and is it just me? That bricked arch above the house number looks like it’s laughing. I see HAHAHAHAHA. These are all great black doors. Licorice is my favorite as well.

You are SO observant, Deborah! That archway IS laughing heartily at us. You win the prize today…if only I had a prize to give. 🤣
